The Father Daughter Dance - A Night to Remember

February 3, 2014

In today’s busy world, it’s hard to take a break from daily life and experience something special, elegant and magical.  The JCC’s Father Daughter Dance is that experience.

However, don’t take it from us – read more from this father and daughter duo, who take time every year to spend time together at the JCC’s Father Daughter Dance.

Dara: "Hi my name is Dara, I’m 9 years old, and I live in Bayside, Wisconsin. This will be my 3rd JCC Father Daughter Dance. I love the Father Daughter Dance because it makes my dad and me more close together. We bond a lot, which is really important to me because family is everything to me. I think the Father Daughter Dance is a wonderful experience for girls to bond and get to know their dad better. It truly is a night to remember, and to look forward to every year."

Dad: "The annual JCC Father Daughter Dance is a special occasion and I look forward to spending quality with my daughter Dara. This event carves out time from our busy schedules to focus on our relationship and enjoy each other’s company without distraction (iPhone available only for emergencies) and treat her like a princess. The excitement starts with Dara’s selection of the perfect gown and shoes and continues with planning the pre-dance feast at a local restaurant. I take care of royal carriage and her “fairy godmother” helps with her hair and make-up. The dance is fun with probing questions stimulating thoughts about our relationship and working together with answers that give us a chance us to win a special prize. And then the music, the desserts and the dancing! Ah... the dancing. From the choreographed lines to the occasional slow dance and jitterbug; what bliss as long as one of my left feet does not step on my date. The fantasy evening ends early, way before the stroke of midnight but our memories and love continue forever."

Join Dara and her father at this magical evening on Saturday, February 8th at 7:00 PM at the JCC.  For more information and to RSVP, please contact Sarah Ruiz at 414-967-8185.
