Functional Training

The JCC is utilizing the summer (June, July and August) to temporarily suspend the JFIT program. We are taking this opportunity to enhance the workouts, equipment and staff. JFIT will return this fall with more options and results for participants. During the summer months we are going to be offering functional training classes as well as summer program classes. The workshops will be a non-stop 30 minute small group training session focusing on specific pieces of equipment or style of workout. The program will advance over a four week period each month (June, July and August).  The workshops will have a maximum of 6 participants to ensure a more the one-on-one feel as you received in JFIT. Finalized schedule will be sent out this month. 

Functional Training workshops


  • KTR-Kettlebell, TRX and Ropes L3 – Total body, non-stop (master level class)
  • Isawall, Wall Ball, Kinesis L2-L3 – Strength and Core IWK-
  • Built 2B Fit  L2 – Learn how to use the different pieces of equipment in the

functional training room. Receive a sample workout at the end of the month


You will register on a monthly basis for four consecutive classes. Sign up for one day/slot

  • ex. Mondays at 12:00pm

Fees:  To compensate for the disruption in JFIT programming, we are offering a special JFIT rate to anyone who purchased a JFIT monthly or three month pass December 2016-May 2017. Fee includes one consistent day/time for the entire month

  • JFIT $27.50  (rate available for JFIT participants who purchased a monthly or three month pass December 2016 – May 2017)
  • Members-$40
  • Program Users- $60
  • Drop in- $12 NOTE: difficulty increases with each class throughout the month
