Swim Lessons

Early Childhood (0-3), Kindergarten (4-5), Elementary (6-9), Preteen (10-13) JCC North Entrance, Whitefish Bay
We are proud to provide the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program to our whole community.

Just Keep Swimming

Every new swimmer starts with the basics, like becoming comfortable in the water and learning safety and basic strokes, then moves on to stroke development, refinement and improvement while developing ease and efficiency in the water.

JCC group swim lessons are offered throughout the year with sessions starting each program season.

Program Benefits

All swim lessons take place in the crown jewel of the JCC, the Peck Aquatic Center. State-of-the-art UV-filtration allows us to provide a swim experience that is easier on eyes and skin.

Beginner lessons take placed in our UV-filtered, small teaching pool with depths of 2’6″ – 3’6″ so little swimmers can stand in the pool and build their comfort and confidence in the water.

As your child advances, they will eventually move to the large pool to refine their strokes and grow in their abilities.

Swimmers are grouped by age and ability which allows them to learn in a relaxed, non-competitive environment.

Pre-class evaluations for appropriate level placement will be conducted as needed.

End-of-the-session report cards keep you informed of your child’s progress.
