Pilates Clinic Session II

A unique class that incorporates two Pilates teachers and allows up to 8 participants. This whole body conditioning workout will incorporate 25 minutes of apparatus work and 25 minutes of mat work, yoga or small props work. Basic experience in Pilates Mat or reformer work is required or approval from instructor. Modifications or variations can always be used to assist or challenge students.

Mindfulness and Self-Compassion

This course, Exploring the Path of Mindful Self-Compassion, will provide you with tools for cultivating mindful self-compassion, which is often a precursor to experiencing true compassion for others. Mindfulness develops our capacity to be fully aware and present with what is happening in each moment. And self-compassion increases our ability to experience a loving, nurturing presence to hold our experience of the present moment. Mindful self-compassion cultivates a joining of these two elements. Each class session will include a discussion of the elements of mindfulness and self compassion, guided meditation practices (including the compassionate body scan, soothing breath meditations, and softening to difficult emotions), as well as optional group sharing. Whether you are new to mindfulness or an experienced mindfulness practitioner, this class will help you to begin or deepen your journey down the path of mindful self-compassion.

Restorative Yoga

This is no ordinary yoga class -explore the art of active relaxation utilizing poses to help release layers of tension, engage the relaxation response, and reduce the effects of stress-related disease. Much of this class is spent on the floor utilizing supportive props and is therefore suitable for ANYONE including those recovering from medical procedures, currently engaged in medical treatment, with chronic pain or illness, and pregnant women.
