This free introductory 30 minute class will familiarize you with the basics of Pilates. You will learn fundamentals and prepatory exercises that will build a base for continuation in our TEVA Pilates Studio Mat sessions and/or drop-in Mat Classes. Come and learn how you can get stronger, longer and leaner with Pilates. All fitness levels are welcome. This is not a progressive class. *No registration is required for JCC members. Session II: This class is dedicated to encouraging and supporting tweens and teens to take care of themselves both mentally and physically. We build inner and outer strength, flexibility and balance through traditional yoga postures. Yoga is an excellent compliment to any physical activity and helps to prevent sports related injuries. Through breathwork, mindfulness, stress reduction, compassion and self-awareness is taught. Tween/Teen yoga is taught in a safe, noncompetitive, peer supported, nurturing environment. Along with individual practice, group and partner work is also introduced. Ages 11 yrs and up Instructor: Minda Devorkin. Location: Teva Yoga Studio.

The Parkinson's Dance Class

This dance class, originally designed for people in the Parkinson's community, is open to anyone seeking lifelong comfort and ease in their body movements. Feel better; function more efficiently and enjoy life more fully! Feel the beat of varied music as you improve coordination, balance and posture. Restore confidence in your body. Discover your creativity in motion. All abilities and fitness levels are welcome. Options include dancing in a chair, standing and moving across the floor.
