This class will teach young adolescents and young adults with special needs how to use the JCC's fitness equipment as well as learning the fitness basics in a small group exercise setting. Improving and maintaining 'functional fitness' helps individuals with daily functional living skills and promotes positive social interaction. Class will also include aerobic exercises, stretching and weight training.

This dance class, originally designed for people in the Parkinson's community, is open to anyone seeking lifelong comfort and ease in their body movements. Session 2 Parkinson's Treadmill and Strength Class

Mon, Thu 1:30 PM-2:30 PM
This exercise class is geared towards individuals with Parkinson Disease (PD) and is led by a physical therapist and personal trainer. The hour-long class is split into two half-hour sessions. 30 minutes are spent walking on a treadmill (sometimes backwards) and 30 minutes working on strength and flexibility with a focus on trunk mobility. The theory behind this program is that improved trunk mobility combined with an aerobic conditioning program should lead to improvement of functional activities used in everyday life. Clients in all stages of the disease are welcome, as well as new participants.
