It’s tennis time! It’s never to early to start your young ones in tennis and what better way to do that than at your local JCC! In this class, kids will learn how to hold a racket while working on their eye-hand coordination.

Join your friends and learn to play the world’s game! All classes will have detailed, age-appropriate instruction in both offensive and defensive skills. Teamwork and sportsmanship will be taught during this fun format which includes plenty of games!

Participants will become more comfortable in the water on their own. Activities include submerging mouth, nose & eyes, blowing bubbles, floating on front & back with help and exploring arm leg movements on front & back with help.

The next step after Pre-School Level 3. Participants will work on refining coordinated arm & leg action with an introduction to rotary breathing (breathing to the side while swimming on front), swimming on side and treading water.

Participants in this class must be able to complete the front crawl & backstroke for ½ the pool and tread water for 15 seconds. Participants will be introduced to butterfly stroke, elementary backstroke, the breaststroke, and diving.

Let’s bring out the hockey sticks! In this class, kids will learn how to properly hold a hockey stick while manuvering a ball/puck in a modified game setting.

Participants in this program must have passed all requirements of Youth Level 3. The program is designed to introduce your child to the concept of a swim team, team building, good sportsmanship, and how to swim for exercise.
